The Minister of Education presides over the meeting of the opinion committee
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, chaired the fourth regular opinion committee meeting for the year 2023, in the presence of the gentlemen of the advanced staff and the presidents of all public universities.
At the outset of the meeting, the Minister of Education directed to complete the fields of modernizing engineering and science curricula in universities in order to prepare for the implementation of the Bologna track in the next academic year, complete the requirements for final exams for the second semester of the current academic year, and take into account all service and logistical requirements, cooperation and integration withEducation directorates regarding middle school exams.He also instructed all formations to complete the final accounts and send them to the Office of Financial Supervision and to complete the final accounts of the higher education funds, the fund for supporting internal departments and advisory offices, in addition to the accounts of the operating budget and investment accounts, while urging the intensification of the field effort of the directors of the follow-up departments inUniversities and officials of the follow-up divisions in colleges, providing logistical support to them, granting them the necessary powers in accordance with the law, enabling them to perform their tasks entrusted to them, and holding educational workshops and seminars to combat drugs.
The meeting discussed the topics on the agenda and voted affirmatively on a number of decisions, including:
▪️ Approval of the guide to accrediting the Bologna track in Iraqi universities, which includes the type of academic system, student admission, registration, assessment, and exams.
▪️ Adapting the official working hours in university institutions, starting from the next academic year, to raise the absorptive capacity and fulfill the requirements of the Bologna track, according to the principles stipulated in the University Service Law and the Civil Service Law.
▪️ Dealing with the cases of fellowship students sent through the Scholarships Department before their appointment, by granting them unpaid leaves to complete course studies and multiple unpaid leaves intermittently for students in the research stage due to the presence of contractual obligations for students under the fellowship contracts and to preserve the scholarships providedfor Iraq.▪️ Formation of a ministerial committee to undertake the draft of the first amendment to the instructions of the experienced professorThe Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, concluded the meeting by praising the efforts of universities and their teaching and functional staff in achieving performance indicators, interacting with knowledge variables and scientific discoveries, and enhancing the requirements of academic reputation

Today, Thursday 27/4/2023, the discussion committees concluded graduation project research for fourth-stage students in the Nursing Department at Bilad Al-Rafidain university college 

 for the third day in a row, as the discussion committees praised the students’ performance and their high commitment to scientific directives, which culminated in the production of a group of scientifically distinguished research.
