About the Department
  • About the Department

The College of Dentistry at the University of Bilad Alrafdain  was established in 2017 and aimed to prepare a medical staff specialized in oral and dental medicine and surgery.

The Department of Dentistry was opened in the fall of 2017, and studies began on the basis of a five-year curriculum, where it was taken into account that its curricula be consistent with the most prestigious scientific colleges.

Since its establishment, the department has consisted of a building that includes four laboratories equipped with possible devices and supplies, and classrooms equipped with educational tools have been prepared in which the teaching staff use modern programs to present and convey scientific information. 93 students have been accepted, and they constitute the first session. As for the faculty members, they hold a doctorate or board and master's degree in various dental specialties.

The department's buildings have currently expanded. In addition to the old building, a new building was opened in 2018, which contains all the scientific and applied laboratories that the department needs.

The study in the Department of Dentistry includes five academic stages. The first three stages are basic and pre-clinical studies in which the student continues his studies within the college. The fourth and fifth stages are clinical and academic, in which the student continues his training in a private teaching hospital for dentistry affiliated with the department. The student graduates after completing all requirements to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery.
