Iraq is on the horizon of 2050 ... Al -Nahrain University is looking at the challenges of the future in a distinguished scientific presence ....Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al -Aboudi, and under the supervision of the President of Al -Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulaziz Al -Shawi, the Faculty of Political Science held its scientific conference tagged (Iraq 2050), during which a group of academics and specialists reviewed strategic visions of the future of Iraq in various fieldsPolitical, economic and social.The conference witnessed a distinguished presence offered by Prof. Dr. Rasha Khalil Abed President of the University of Bilad Al-Rafidain  in response to an official invitation addressed by the University of Al -Nahrain, confirming the importance of coordination and scientific communication between Iraqi universities and supporting research that contributes to building the future of the state.

In his speech during the opening of the conference, the Dean of the College of Political Science stressed that this scientific event represents an important platform for exchanging ideas and visions that would develop a clear road map for the future of Iraq by 2050, praising the wide academic presence and constructive interaction with the conference axes.

The conference was concluded with academic recommendations that focused on the importance of future planning, support for scientific research for decision -making and national policies.
