Towards a specialized medical and health education ... new horizons in developing health professionsUnder the patronage of the universities of Al -Rafidain, Al -Hadi, and Al -Rashid Al -and Al -Yarmouk, University college on the first of February 2025, a specialized scientific symposium under the title "Towards a specialized medical and health education" was held, in the presence of a group of university presidents and deans of government and private colleges.

The symposium highlighted the importance of specialized education in dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, radiology and other medical specialties, stressing the need to develop the curricula in a way that keeps pace with global developments in the health sector.

The University of Al- Rafidain represented a high academic delegation headed by Professor Dr. Rasha Khalil Abed  President of the University, along with the deans of the competent colleges, where they reviewed the university's experiences in promoting applied medical education and the role of educational hospitals in professionally qualifying students.

Towards a developed healthy future

The symposium was concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably the necessity of strengthening partnerships between universities and health institutions, modernizing laboratories according to the latest technologies, as well as expanding practical training programs for students in hospitals and medical centers.

The University of Bilad Al-Rafidain affirms its constant commitment to supporting specialized medical education and providing an integrated academic environment that contributes to preparing health cadres capable of facing future medical challenges.
