A field scientific training visit to Al-Rashad Hospital for Psychiatric and Mental Diseases in Baghdad.A delegation of teachers and students from the Nursing Department at Bilad Al-Rafidain University College visited Al-Rashad Hospital for Psychiatric and Mental Illness in Baghdad. The aim of the visit was to train the students practically in the field of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing in the largest mental hospital in Iraq to provide the students with practical skills in this field through case studies. It is a rare study in which students obtain consent from the psychiatric patient to conduct an interview with him, evaluate his psychological state, and identify the causes and symptoms of the illness.
Under the supervision of Assistant lecturer Doha Abdul Rahman, subject teacher and training hospital specialist, nurses from Al-Rashad Teaching HospitalThe students were very enthusiastic about obtaining information and skills in this field. This scientific visit was part of the requirements of the educational curriculum for the subject of mental health nursing (clinical practical) and will be followed by other training visits in the future, God Almighty willing.
